Just a heads-up for anyone using www.MyPrepaidCenter.com or Pathward Prepaid Cards (Pathward N.A./MetaBank N.A) and therefore, Blackhawk Engagement Network/Blackhawk Engagement Solutions (BLACKHAWK NETWORK),the third-party service provider on behalf of Pathward N.A. Pathward uses Blackhawk to activate and manage certain prepaid incentive cards (e.g., gift cards that Pathward issues ("Pathward Prepaid Cards"). On September 11, 2022, irregular activity (unauthorized acquisition of profile information: first and last names, email addresses, phone numbers, card numbers, expiration dates and CVV codes) about an undisclosed number of users/cardholders was discovered in connection with www.MyPrepaidCenter.com, the website that Blackhawk operates for cardholders to activate and manage Pathward Prepaid Cards. The unauthorized acquisition occurred between September 4-12, 2022. Blackhawk claims to have investigated incident, stopped said irregular activity, blocked impacted Pathward Prepaid Cards, reissued new ones and reported incident to law enforcement on September 12, 2022. If in possession of any cards utilizing these services, it might be wise to check your email/spam folder for any notices from Blackhawk, log into MyPrepaidCenter in order to populate new card details, verify balances on replacement Pathward Prepaid Cards and check account for unfamiliar activity.
