Are sweepstakes wins really random?

I saw another post where someone checked the winners list to see if they had won a sweepstakes, since there are so many problems with the website. I had never checked the list, so out of curiosity, I searched the list for my city (just to make sure my name wasn't on the list, since I have never received an email for a sweepstakes win). I didn't find my name, but I found someone else who had won 6 sweepstakes, including a $1000 prize, during the time frame of April 24, 2021 to January 1, 2025.  Now I don't know if they enter a lot of sweepstakes each month, or if they are just really lucky. I only enter about 2 sweepstakes each month, but it is very disappointing to never win and then see someone else who has won so many.

You must be a mind reader; I came on here to ask the same question. Way back when I won a Instance Win for a $10 coupon at Bath & Body Works. I get on this site at night so I guess all the winners are used up by night fall because I haven't come close since. It took me forever to find the winners list and I haven't been back to it in years. If I were to win a $100 gift card I would sure be telling everyone about it. I don't know why AARP doesn't post the winners each month on the front page of the newsletter???? Just to let us know that there is a drawing.
