I enjoy gardening, vintage cars and trucks, birds and wildlife, and the outdoors. Accidental country girl who would rather play in the dirt, hunt, and fish than hang out in the big city.

I would take a much needed day or two off from work, sleep in late, then go outside and work on my walking trails and forest gardens. That is my center and where I feel most at peace.

Recently, our grown son was in transition to a new duty station and stayed with us for about a month. He had all his family mail forwarded to us, and upon their final move, updated his address again to his new home, in Hawaii (we live in Washington)...

I think many of us would be in the same boat. SS is a complicated system, though for senior citizens, it should be a slam dunk.

I have lost count of the number of times we have "started over". We're just working folks who can't seem to catch a break and now, at a time when another curveball has been thrown our way, we too, wonder, will I ever be able to retire? If I do reti...
