I waited till 65 but retired at 62, lived out of savings for 3 years. The biggest reason for not taking it was my wife with no 10 year work credit was not going to get half of my reduced amount, she was only getting 40% of my reduced SS because she w...

I am starting to rethink the idea of keeping some cash for emergency in my safe. When you couldn't even get 1 percent on a 2 year CD I didn't care if it was here or in the bank, and inflation wasn't what it has been of late. I am not able to predict ...

I am not a tax pro but forget the tax till you determine how much you will get in Social Security, that plus income like a pension will determine how much gets taxed and at what rate

I just saw this week that you can't find a U Haul in CA because so many people are leaving the state every week. I like WI but I live across the street from where I grew up, kind of a homeboy.
