About Kath1948
You Make The Community Strong
Tell us about yourself:
I'm involuntarily retired. I was a caregiver with an agency in Ketchikan for several years till I had an accident. I cannot do the same duties because of my accident,
Now I volunteer at the local library and live life as it comes to me.
In 2018 I was diagnosed with Multiple Myeloma. To date I'm in remission and doing fairly well
Area of knowledge and what I know well:
I have learned a lot in my 73 yrs. I guess my knowledge abou caregiving has given me empathy about age and the challenges we all face, off and on; practically and emotionally.

Re: There is a law that will not allow you to be cremated after death if you have no living relative
WHAT?? Ridiculous! So, if you cannot be cremated because you don't have a notarized person to sign for the fire; then what? Do they throw you out to the buzzards or haul you off to the landfill?Ridiculous!I have a small burial /life insurance policy a...

Unless you experience 24/7 tinnitus, you just don't know anything.Medical practitioners just give you, " here, try this" type things. You're right, there is no relief. Those new extra sounds do come in every once in a while for me; especially if I'm ...

I haven't tried to eliminate anything. I don't drink, and my sodium level is not bad ( says my monthly blood tests ). I think most people would baulk at giving up their daily caffeine; including me. It's strange how it started in 2011, after an accid...
