Tell us about yourself:
Born in a convent (long story), I graduated high school with honors. The same year, I took 2nd place in a state fencing championship. I am a certified sailor and kyacker and play a decent round of golf for a “senior.” I love nature, whether my hands are in the dirt or my feet are tramping all over it. I’ve lived in many states and work periodically took me outside of the U.S. A life-long learner, I’m an avid writer and reader of many genres. Music is a huge part of my day. Currently, I am teaching myself how to play the piano. Fortunately, I can read music (another story).
Area of knowledge and what I know well:
As a retiree, I started a book publishing business to get eager authors’ works up on Amazon. I’ve acquired mucho computer skills over time and often find myself in situations where I can share what I’ve learned with others. I’ve been tutoring pro bono young and old alike on a myriad of subjects for about 50 years.

Two classic songs from the 1960’s come to mind that make me smile every time I hear them. The first one “Save the Last Dance for Me” makes me think of my husband who had absolutely no rhythm although he never hesitated to get out on the dance floor....
I use meditation to cope with every day and holidays are no different. While meditation is known to lower stress and levels of depression, it can also positively create physical changes in the brain that can protect a person from mental health issues...
