Born in a convent (long story), I graduated high school with honors. The same year, I took 2nd place in a state fencing championship. I am a certified sailor and kyacker and play a decent round of golf for a “senior.” I love nature, whether my hands are in the dirt or my feet are tramping all over it. I’ve lived in many states and work periodically took me outside of the U.S. A life-long learner, I’m an avid writer and reader of many genres. Music is a huge part of my day. Currently, I am teaching myself how to play the piano. Fortunately, I can read music (another story).
Area of knowledge and what I know well:
As a retiree, I started a book publishing business to get eager authors’ works up on Amazon. I’ve acquired mucho computer skills over time and often find myself in situations where I can share what I’ve learned with others. I’ve been tutoring pro bono young and old alike on a myriad of subjects for about 50 years.

Yes... and so were Napolean Bonaparte, Peter the Great, Benjamin Franklin, General Omar Bradley, Presidents Thomas Jefferson, Franklin D. Roosevelt, John F. Kennedy, and many, many more. But (no excuses for womanizing), I am grateful for their positi...
MLK Day reminds me that as a nation, we still aren’t doing enough to balance and equalize social justice in America. Martin Luther King was a learned and profoundly spiritual man. He was also Black, but he never referred to his race. When he spoke, h...
I was about 5 years old and living with my grandmother since forever who generally had no time for me. Yes, she saw to it that I had a roof and a meal although she never showed me how to tie my shoes, read a story to me (probably because I didn’t own...
