How about Charleston, SC? I went there a few years ago, and it was amazing! The beaches are beautiful, and the historic downtown is really walkable with lots of great sights. Plus, they have some awesome festivals in April. You can get there by Amtra...

Whoa, $486 for Motel 6? That’s crazy! I stayed at a Super 8 near the Amtrak station a while back, and it was way cheaper. Also, check Airbnb for private rooms or even local hostels—they can be a good deal.
