On a Carnival cruise that has Guy's BBQ go as soon as you board. They're never busy on embarkation day cuz most people don't realize they're open If you wait till sea days the lines are endless.

I love the private islands in the Bahamas. Can relax on the beach and enjoy the beautiful weather safely. Most lines have a destination and these islands are free.

If you're into swimming. Pack or wear your swimsuit on day 1. Pools are empty and you'll have them to yourself, as well as the hot tub. Sea day pools are a nightmare!!

For those going to Alaska if you can swing a balcony it's so worth waking up and having a cup of coffee with a snow capped mountain right next to you. Quiet place to watch for whales, sheep and bears.
