I am seeing the problem now, despite using the Chrome browser. What is different is that I'm now logged in to my AARP account, as opposed to NOT being logged in while playing. Does that account for the difference? I wonder ...

Note this added information not mentioned above! It explains sound effects (like WOO- OO) that were happening occasionally for me. A new wrinkle in my strategy for playing.
