Most of the time when I try to use the extra time option, once I go back to the game none of the controls work anymore. I may have more time, but I can't highlight letters, wipe words, or even pause the clock. All I can do is helplessly watch as the ...

Help! I've fallen down the Word Hunt rabbit hole and I can't get out! 

That doesn't end my game. It just takes me to a home screen where the only option is to pick up again at the level I left off.
