Joined AARP in 2020, when I turned 50. My father was a big fan of the organization, so I guess I've joined it based on his recommendations. (He's gone now.)
I am neither avocado nor dog. Nor do I have a dog. (But I love animals.) I had to come up with a user name when I joined, and I looked up and saw a silly quote I had pinned to my bulletin board that includes that unlikely combination of words.
Pretty irreverent about a lot of stuff, but I never mean to offend. I think of myself as a decent guy.
Area of knowledge and what I know well:
I am a veritable cesspool of useless knowledge, to quote some "Jeopardy!" contestant I remember from the 1980s.
Bio
Because my Dad was a big fan of AARP I joined the organization when I turned 50. I believe I am a cesspool of useless knowledge who simultaneously operates as a professional social distancer.

I was really excited when the game originally came out in the early 1980s and I was not yet a teenager. It was expensive, but there it was under the Christmas tree that year. Thanks Mom! Sadly, no one wanted to play with me. I think I played it once ...
