Tell us about yourself:
Joined AARP this year, in 2020, when I turned 50. My father was a big fan of the organization, so I guess I've joined it based on his recommendations. Kinda private in most aspects of my life, hence the wacky profile photo. (I don't actually have a big fat moon face. At least I don't think I do.) Pretty irreverent about a lot of stuff, but I never mean to offend. Think of myself as a decent guy.
Area of knowledge and what I know well:
I am a veritable cesspool of useless knowledge, to quote some Jeopardy contestant I remember from the 1980s.

Tongue-in-cheek! And self-deprecatingly written. Though I am a fan of naps. But point taken.  As for 8-track tapes, lookee what I found yesterday:  That's K-tel!  We remember them!

I'm 50. I joined AARP this year. I've been online for half my life at this point. And even I don't understand this new format at all. Seems like it could be streamlined and less complicated.  But perhaps at this point I am the proverbial old dog — in...

I hate to dog-pile on AARPMichaelP, but I do agree with a lot of the posts below. I have a difficult time navigating the message boards. Also, I used to be able to access private messages sent directly to me. Where those are and/or how to get to them...

It all began in grade school when Johnny met... ...Doreen — but woe to the guy or gal who called her by her full name. No, she went by Reenie, both at school and at the other side of the tracks, where she lived with her father and her four brothers, ...
