I'm trying to read a forum post, clicking through from a Google search and I get " access denied" even though I'm logged in on the browser and had posted a response to a different post. Why?

I think you should call 800-772-1213 to get an appointment.  I never applied for survivor benefits because of GPO, so on December 17th I called to set up a telephone appointment. None were available. I was told it would take about a week to set up.  ...
