bike when the weather allows 5-15 miles. 20 minutes 2X daily on nordic trac treadmill at 3.3 mph on level. Can be adjusted for steeper angles but level is fine at that pace for seniors (55+).  This is more than enough to elevate heart rate for 20 min...
