Update - after much hooplah I was able to get the MD's office manager to re-issue the prescription, changing the 1.5 pills per day dosage to 1.0 pill per day. OptumRx filled it as promised, no charge for generic meds. I did switch OUT of the AARP UHC...

I'm having similar issues with Optum on my new AARP Medicare Advantage Plan. They keep switching my generic drug to brand name. I keep bothering my MD for new Rx. Round and round we go.... UHC states that if I don't use their Rx network I'll be punte...
