I know a lot about Texas, not for me personally. I am looking at VA and NC for now. Taxes are important but not the only item on my list, but thanks for the input.

I wrote a long piece re: VA and my login was not recognized. Virginia is one place to consider. But I'm still looking at other places. Tucson/Phoenix is WAY too hot in summer, so live in a place when the weather isn't perfect. Also, I'm not a desert ...
