We went on some short roadtrips this summer which allowed us to just get away.  It was nice and relaxing and we all enjoyed spending the time with each other.

We were able to take a nice drive in the country.  This allowed us to get out of the house and spend some quality and relaxing time together.  Don't know if you can consider that a vacation but it sure seemed like something!
