I have been under the impression that a person insured by a HD-G plan is only liable for the monthly premiums on the HD-G as well as the HD-G annual deductible ($2,950 in 2026), no matter what - even if you get socked with a million-dollar hospital b...

No, I cannot name any health plan not affected by inflation. I was merely pointing out that even HD-G plans have deductibles that will rise with inflation. For example, the current $2,950 will likely rise to around $3,090 for 2027, given the expected...

I'm a fan of HD-G plans myself but am also aware of the effect of inflation on the annual HD-G deductible which I predict will be $3,060 in 2027 (based on a predicted 2026 CPI increase. Future CPI changes are a known unknown. I wonder what unknown un...

This is a belated reply to your question about adding weight loss drugs to Medicare (Part D) plans. Personally I hope that insurance companies offer some plans that do not include weight loss drugs so that people who don't need weight loss won't have...
