If you are fully vetted in STRS and your retirement will be a "decent" amount... (usually somewhere about 50% of what you were earning as a full time teacher if you have 25 to 30 years in) then your Social Security earnings will be reduced by 75%. ...

I don't think there is any recourse... as a retired educator I am in the same boat. Only get 25% of what was put in. Thank that one to Ronald Reagan...didn't think we should "double dip". The only recourse is to write to your senator and congress ...

It is the congress who is at fault, they can't get any business done as they are too busy blocking everything. I do not blame it on the President, he only signs the bills, not makes them.
