Receiving Soc Sec Payments and Working

I started receiving benefit payments this September.  Now I am studying as required to be a tax return preparer in January.  I will be pulling in a paycheck with Social Security withholding.  At $8.50 per hour I can work a 32 hour week without going over my monthly income limit.  

My question is: is it ok to work at a full-time job that pays into the system while receiving benefit payments?  

As a "newbie" I'm a bit confused by all of this.
