There are times when some jokes aren't that bad.  But people in the workforce must always pay attention to what they say.  If they don't they are for sure going to get themselves into trouble.  That goes for what comments they wish to say about the older worker.  Sometimes when I am at a coffee shop, and talk to a table mate, sometimes if that table mate may be young, I might talk to that person about how cars and trucks were built in the 1950s and 1960s and how you had to drive them.  I too miss the days of when if you told a joke and the joke was bad that the fun was soon over.  One of the stories came from a 1961 Disneyland record "The Great Composers" and it was about Franz Joseph Haydn and it was about the time when he played jokes and there was a time when he got in big trouble for teasing another fellow.  Musically his 2nd movement to his 92nd Symphony in G Major which he nicknamed the "Surprise" symphony, you can hear how he explains all about jokes in that movement.

Thankyou for the article @SummerOnTheWay1  Nicole.  I Found it informative.

Gotta admit I used it to tease a kid who offered to shovel snow for me too.

To be clear, the joking around was with a person I talk to regularly, who understood that it was just a joke, and only took place after I had expressed sincere gratitude for the offer.
