Fraud victim of crook AND the state of Maine

I'm a care giver for an elderly parent. This parent was defrauded out of hundreds of thousand's of dollars by a crooked lawyer that works close with the state.

The Police and FBI investigated and told us the things the lawyer did were criminal. But the Maine US attorney and local attorney would not prosecute the lawyer but instead refereed the situation to a to a bunch of lawyers that work with the guy.So of course his friends said he did nothing wrong

I spoke with the FBI again and they said that a need to get Adult protective services to call and make the complaint so they can investigate the crime fully.

When we called to have adult protective services help they just referee it to the same crooked lawyers.

So the state is protecting the crook and we have no idea how to proceed.
