Connie Francis (born Concetta Rosa Maria Franconero) left us 17, July, 2025 at the age of 87.
Her songs led "Pop" and she forged the way for generations of female stars!
Thank you, Lady!
….I was just going to log off when I saw this and just had to reply.
What a voice! I still have two of her albums although both have a scratch or two! 🎶
What I also clearly remember from my High School years was my friends and I discussing the courage that she had in speaking out about her sexual assault. All these years later, I still respect her pioneering moral strength in doing so.
Thanks for this post!
Connie Francis - lovely voice from a strong woman.

Talk about a strong woman @LisaS961881.
Besides the assault, she had a good friend strangled to death, a brother murdered, a botched surgery that affected her ability to sing, and mental health issues and STILL PERFORMED into her eighties.
