Daylight Savings Time is going into effect this weekend.. how about some songs about TIME.
Time After Time Cyndi Lauper
"7 Years" by Lucas Grahm
In the Year 2525.
Tuesday Afternoon - Moody Blues
Friday on My Mind - Easy Beats
If I could turn back time - Cher
And one that doesn't have time in its title, but certainly is all about time:
Seasons of Love from Rent - Five hundred twenty-five thousand six hundred minutes . . .
Lazy Crazy Hazy Days of Summer. Hazy Shade of Winter April Love. June is Bustin' Out All Over
After thinking of "After Midnight" by Eric Clapton, I thought of "After This Day Is Gone" by Bryan Duncan. and then I got to thinking that are just too many songs that have a time-related title but are not actually about time itself. I just barely scanned my library and came up with 25 almost immediately. They're good songs, but I'll have to leave most off the list. Here's a few I can ignore:
"1st Of May" by the Bee Gees
"22,000 Days"by the Moody Blues
"Reelin' In The Years" by Steely Dan
"5 O'Clock World" by the Vogues
"Bad Time To Be In Love" by Bachman Turner Overdrive
"A Dream Goes On Forever" by Todd Rundgren
And here's one that I have no idea what it's about. I might be French, but I don't speak it. "8 Seconds" by Les Cowboy Fringants
5:15 am Mark Knopfler

I meant to say CAN'T ignore.
Rock Around the Clock. Quarter to 3 GaryUSBond. Afternoon Delight
5 O'clock World The Vogues
"10 Days Of Rain" by Rod Stewart
"4 AM" by Our Lady Peace
Day After Day by Badfinger.
Day
"5 O'Clock News/Silent Night" by Simon & Garfunkel. (but it's not really about time)
"Time In A Bottle" by Jim Croce. It's been our song for my husband and I for 42 years.
"3 AM" by Matbox Twenty.
If I could turn back time - Cher
Time in a bottle - Jim Croce
Midnight Train to Georgia--Gladys Knight & Pips
How the Time Flies....Jerry Wallace
Kissin' Time-----Bobby Rydell
One Summer Night----The Danleers
Five O'clock Somewhere---Alan Jackson
Darling Forever----- The Marvelettes
It's Been a Long Time.... The Elgins
Blue Monday---Fats Domino
Some of my favorite songs about time!
"Summertime Blues". I think Eddie Cochran did a version of it, but I can't remember who did a remake of it. I keep thinking of Frigid Pink, but I'm not sure.
The Who did that remake.
