We have alway's loved this song until eight years ago when a very close friend of 17 was killed in a wreck, named "Michelle" Hearing it now brings back so many memories and a year later her brother was in a wreck that killed him at 20. Songs by in the 60's and 70's have a lot of meanings that 90% comes true like myself that was in one at 17 months and on deaths door but lived and my mother died in the same wreck just from a broken leg the doctor set backwards. They should have left it alone so i could have seen her. James H.

"The September Song" Lots of artists have sung it - Jimmy Durante's version is one of the best.

"the clock was tickin" by Brandon Flowers shows how life goes by while you are to busy living it and trying to make a living with lines like "you can't quit your job because your wife needs the benefits". It can be found on his Flamingo album delux edition.

It is the best description of time's erosion that I have heard.
