Can't believe it took me so long to remember this one - a granddaddy among time songs -
Auld Lang Syne - Robert Burns/Scottish traditional (literally old long ago) recalls to mind the friendships and kindness of times past.

Re: When You and I Were Young Maggie
What Artist? Know that the following artists sang that song:
John Mccormick
Statler Bros.
Eddy Arnold
Mezz Mezzrow
Craig Duncan
Perry Como
Can send you an mp3 version via email if I know the artist.
No idea. But I think I would prefer a folk artist to do a traditional song. They tend to keep a good musicality in it instead of doing vocal gymnastics.

traditional; When You & I Were Young Maggie
I find this song never gets old (as long as it's not over-played). I'd like to get a quality version of that one. Oh, that reminds me of a time when a WLS (Chicago) DJ played Rascals; See over & over for a whole hour to protest the station's policy of no duplicates in an hour. I hope that didn't ruin that song for anybody.
