In 1973 David Cassidy recorded an album entitled Dreams Are Nuthin' More Than Wishes.  This title comes from the opening line of a Harry Nilsson song called "The Puppy Song."  David's version was on this album:

Also on this same album was his cover of The Lovin' Spoonful's "Daydream":

Don't think I've seen any Beach Boys songs mentioned yet and they were all about dreaming:

1) And Your Dream Comes True

2) Your Summer Dream
3) Still I Dream of It
4) A Time to Live in Dreams
5) Meet Me In My Dreams Tonight
6) California Dreamin' (Mamas & Papas cover)

7) In My Room

"Do my dreaming and my scheming, lie awake and pray ..."

๐Ÿ˜Ž Hushabye
"Lullaby and goodnight, in my dreams, I hold you tight ... "

9) Darlin'
"Oh darlin', I dream you often my pretty darlin' ..."

10) What is a Young Girl Made Of?
"Everything that's nice, that's what you are, what you will always be
Made of my dreams, close as my heart to me ..."

11) Surfer Girl
"So I say from me to you
I will make your dreams come true
Do you love me do you surfer girl?"

12) Summer's Gone
"Old friends have gone
They've gone their separate ways
Our dreams hold on for those who still have more to say ..."

Right off the top of my head I thought of several; however, Dream Weaver was the first one so I'll go with that.

I Dreamed a Dream, sung by Fantine in Les Miserables (and famously by Susan Boyle on Britain's Got Talent in 2009 and most movingly by Anne Hathaway in the movie version)

@rh97821964

@rocky542 wrote

An old one-  Put your dreams away for another day.  I forgot who sang it.

rh97821964 got it as ol' blue eyes. Originaly released in 1945 and I think two other times.

Sinatra used it as the closing theme on his radio show and it was also played at his funeral.

"Put your dreams away for another day

And I will take their place in your heart

Wishing on a star never got you far

And so it's time to make a new start"
