One of the sweetest people in the music business has left us...
Jimmy Buffett passed away 1-Sept-2023, according to his site.
I'll always remember his soulful voice and seemingly endless coolness 😉
He also wrote, imho, the lovingest love song of all time:
See you in the treetops, dear Jimmy...
Great opinion piece (again, imho):
Opinion: Jimmy Buffett was one of a kind
by Ryan White
Last night, our local news ran a story on him. Little did I know that the song Margaritaville was inspired by a trip to Austin Tx. It seems that Jimmy enjoyed the frozen concoction at one of our local establishments, and then went home and wrote a song about it.
Here's a recent AARP article on Jimmy Buffett:
Jimmy Buffett, Who Leveraged 'Margaritaville' Into an Empire, Dies at 76.
[AARP Music, by Randy Lilleston, AARP - Published September 02, 2023]
I thought this was awesome.

Sadly, it was the first story that came across my newsfeed this morning. Listening to Jimmy Buffett was like having summer fun all year long, and Margaritaville is still one of my favorite songs. I was just listening to his music the other day.
Sail in peace, Jimmy.
