Nice! The banjo and slide guitar are amazing additions to the acoustic guitar, which I assume is played by Simon. The harmonies are beautifully done as well. Great pick, @Raynyky.

3 Dog Night did a cover of "Easy to Be Hard" for  the play/movie HAIR. The original rendition from the movie by Cheryl Barnes is considered to be the best. what do you think?

Cheryl Barnes is a great singer, no doubt about it. And I agree with @dl73698250 that it was the better fit for the movie. What sets the cover apart from the original is the total brokenness in the vocals, the psychedelic feel of the music, and the beautiful harmonies from Three Dog Night, which made it a hit. So, I’ll go with the cover. 😎

The original might be more appropriate for the movie (it would be hard for an actor to do a band version for the movie), But, as a stand-alone song, I think 3 Dog Night is much better musically.

"I'm Into Something Good" Hermans's Hermits breakthough hit. Was originally done by American's the Cookies a year before 64'. Written by Carole King & Gerry Goffin, The original & Brits cover almost are identical, except for the genders. U B the judge.
