Country Rock, Southern Rock Songs

 

 Lynyrd Skynyrd, Alabama, Creedance Clearwater Revival, Allman Brothers Band, ZZ Top, Marshall Tucker Band, Charlie Daniels Band, 38 Special,  New Riders of the Purple Sage, Nitty Gritty Dirt Band, Eagles and so many more were considered Country Rock. 

 

 Nowadays, some country songs are barely distinguishable from rock and other bands have continued the country rock genre.

   This is a good song (a bit more country), but I enjoyed the story of the writing of the words better. Brian Kelly was in the duo Florida Georgia Line. They broke up with bad feelings on both sides. He wrote this song about it. We probably all have had times where we would have liked to write this about someone.

(But I would hope not)

 I could fill several pages with Lynyrd Skynyrd songs (love them). I will just mention their Album last year "Celebrating 50 Years - Live at the Ryman"  and with other artists joining them in their songs.
