"This British oldie was reissued in 2009 to commemorate the 40th anniversary of the Apollo 11 moon mission. In 2013, Canadian astronaut Chris Hadfield performed it aboard the International Space Station, creating the first music video shot in space."
A. The Beatles, ""Across the Universe""
B. David Bowie, ""Space Oddity""
C. Elton John, ""Rocket Man""
D. The Police, ""Walking on the Moon""
You got it, the correct answer is B! Released five days before the launch of Apollo 11, David Bowie’s 1969 ode to Major Tom was his first single to chart in Britain. Bowie called Hadfield’s space station video “possibly the most poignant version of the song ever created.”
.
You know I don’t ever remember hearing about this before. It was cool to read about Chris Hadfield and watch the u-tube video of him singing and playing his guitar “sitting in a tin can far above the world”. He even played those quirky chords like Bowie did it was good.
