Funny that it was pulled because of an "error." I like Dunkin', bear no grudge against them, have indulged in a few Boston Kremes along the way.
All that said, here's the but....
Before whatever the mistake that was fell into discovery, that particular goodie listed for 22,000 points for 5 bucks worth of a gift card. Survivors on the board are more like 14,000 for a 5 dollar gift, and DD was listed for 22K. Last month, Target went for 22K for a 5, and dare I point out that Target has an ever so slightly more diversified product base than DD.
So, there may have been a "mistake", but if you are scoring at home, looking to collect 22K of hard earned points was a mistake of another entity. If AARP had no shame, they'd hunt down anyone that paid the 22, and reimburse them and let them keep the card. This program is setting new records every day of extending the old adage of its gonna get worse before it gets better to new, immeasurable extremes.
