I believe that we only had a problem when members complained about off-topic posts.  On the current online community (more often than not) entire topics are deleted rather than individual posts.  In my previous attempt at a topic like this, I remember the complains about going off-topic to help a new member!  New members don't have the history that we have, so, they post in a topic near the top of the list for help.

When creating my last "available" topic, I mentioned that discussion about gift cards was allowed in the topic.  However, the complainers must have reported helping the new member with off-topic questions and responses to help them (I believe it was about helping a newer member get a newsletter?) and BOOM, entire topic gone.

I believe my error may have been that I did not make the topic more inclusive, rather than more restrictive.  For this reason, I believe that this topic, in particular its restrictive constrains, will be the death of it.  However, I wish you guys luck with it!🍀

so to be clear, you can only post remarks here that deal with points only gift cards, otherwise someone will complain and the entire topic could be deleted  🤔

I absolutely agree with you, @andrewtoo, and don’t believe it can sustain itself for that reason, unfortunately. Agree with you on this. You can see the forest for the trees.  👍🙂
