August redemptions were extraordinarily greasy
I jumped through the hoops multiple times, even received the "no points, you've already completed this activity" message, but they aren't coughing up the Amazon gift cards tonight. Par for the course...

Another month and once again, none of the Extra Credit rewards were working. I jumped through the hoops three times, while receiving the "
Sorry, no points this time.
You didn't earn any AARP points because you already completed the activity."
and on the Extra Credit page, it still showed that the activities were not fulfilled.
Par for the course...

Thank you for reaching out, @AnneG23816. I'm sorry to hear you had issues with the extra credit activities, I can understand your frustration. For the message you got, "no points, you've already completed this activity", you can refresh the page to confirm if the activity was fully completed the point will show on your transaction history as well.
The $5 Amazon gift card is currently out of stock, it was a popular item. You can check the other rewards for that activity. - Diana G.

I can understand your concern, @JamesC496500. For the issue encountered yesterday with the Extra Credit activities, our team worked hard and the issue has been resolved. Please try again. - Diana G.

This reply is very frustrating to see. Obviously you are not familiar with AARP rewards site and do not look into this issue. This was an issue for many if not all users between midnight and 1am ET. People with activities completed were not able to get Amazon card because the website had yet another glitch. The issue was fixed around 1am it seems and of course the "monthly" extra credit deal quickly sold out. I think "Monthly" deals should last at least a day. "Daily" deals at least an hour.
Yes, and if you look at the number of lessons, there are 5 in total, but two are repeated. And when you look at the lessons, instead of 3, there are a total of 6, the 3 repeated twice, so once you've completed one the first time, it won't allow you to compete the secondd exact one, because it thinks you already completed it. does no one ever test these offline before throwing the switch at midnight,???

Hi @RenateW69623, thank you for reaching out. When you complete an activity, but it doesn't show the status, I'd recommend you refreshing the website. I'm glad to hear you we're able to redeem the Amazon and Barnes and Noble gift cards, enjoy! - Diana G.

I did refresh (multiple times), but that did not fix the issue. If you read the comment from @rakes5 the issue was that the web site was showing the activities 2 times and not all of them were marked as complete even though the activities were completed. Because of this, it was impossible to redeem the gift cards. But then after about an hour, we were finally able to redeem gift cards, even though the activities display was still not correct. This also happened last month, so it would be nice if you could get your tech team to fix this issue.

I repeatedly answered all 3 Members Only tests, but I was repeatedly unable to redeem them for the Amazon gift card and took a screenshot showing I had taken the 3 tests.
I also tried to earn points using others and did not even get the points rewarded.
Really disappointing

ChristC:
Thanks for your reply.
I've been unable to read your messages because I've been trying to access my AARP Account Inbox all morning, but this is what I get:
"400 Bad Request
Request Header or Cookie Too Large
nginx/1.290"
I'm getting the same message in my other account categories, too.
