Lighthouses of the world

There are over 20,000 functioning ligIhthouses around the world. I have seen about 75 of them  over the years.

Many of them on the Pacific coast and the Great Lakes

Sorry it took so long to set up this next topic!

Wind Point Lighthouse, Wind Point Wisconsin. Today, after a big snow storm yesterday, and a beautiful Christmas wreath. I feel like I live in a postcard. Its beautiful 🎄.
Edit: The lighthouse was just painted a few months ago. So it looks so clean.

A.L.🗼🗼🎅🎄Wind Point Lighthouse (or Windpoint Light Station) is a lighthouse located at the north end of Racine Harbor in the U.S. state of Wisconsin. It is in the village of Wind Point, Wisconsin, on Lighthouse Road, next to the Shoop Park golf course. The lighthouse stands 108 feet (33 m) tall. One of the oldest and tallest active lighthouses on the Great Lakes, it was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1984.

On of my favorite lighthouses I visited so years ago. It had one of finest fog horns in the area.

How many lighthouses does Colorado have? We actually have ONE lighthouse in Colorado! Not only do we have one, but at 9,017 ft above sea level the lighthouse at the marina on Dillon Reservoir in Frisco is the highest lighthouse in the United States!

A.L.🗼🗼.: The Paard van Marken (English: Horse of Marken) is a lighthouse on the Dutch peninsula Marken, on the IJsselmeer. It was built in 1839 by J. Valk. A primitive lighthouse had been on the location since the early 18th century; the current lighthouse has been a listed building (Rijksmonument) since 1970.
