DOES AARP CARE MORE FOR ANIMALS THAN OUR FELLOW HUMAN BEINGS?

Judging from past AARP articles such as:

"6 WAYS TO KEEP YOUR PET SAFE WHILE DRIVING"

"HOW TO KEEP YOUR PET HEALTHY FOR LESS MONEY"

"TO THE RESCUE: SAVING ANIMALS FROM DISASTER ZONES"

It becomes clear that AARP cares more for animals than it does for our fellow human beings.

Why do I say this, you might ask?

Because AARP seems to have restricted discussion of the caged human beings in the bug infested, tropical heat of Florida. Humans that are exposed to walking through their own and fellow caged individual's sewage. The ASPCA would not put up with those conditions for canines or felines.

Judging from AARP'S defense of humane actions toward animals noted above VERSUS their restricted conversation of "man's inhumanity to man" in Florida can only lead one to conclude they care more for animals then our fellow human beings.

This comment is not political in any way, shape, or form.

It is the expression that no human being, regardless of who they are or what they have done, should be exposed to these conditions.

My wife and I live in  a retirement center and I can reasure you that the most important thing for many senior is there cat or dog.

Most of us are hoping that all imagines are given a fare chance to become US citizens. As a member of AARP I hope that they support imagrants legal efforts to become citizens.

You would be better off trying to organize AARP posters to 'lobby' AARP to again allow for a political chat site within AARP, instead of posting this kind of stuff in this group. I would love to see a political chat site here at AARP. Perhaps you could start a petition? If you do, message me.

Nowhere do I see a prescribed subject matter for the OUR FRONT PORCH forum, @ChasKy53 .

It is clear to me that one can post any comment regarding any subject as long as it is apolitical.

Referring to my comments as "THIS KIND OF STUFF"  is not welcome.

I am sure that AARP will not re-institute the ability for political discourse.

My comment that you so rudely referred to as "THIS KIND OF STUFF" was a heart felt comment relating to INHUMANE TREATMENT OF HUMAN BEINGS.

@nctarheel ,

WHY do you think posting on THIS SITE is going to "change" anything.

Just my 1/2 cent. Take care, Nicole!

@Winter2025VA,

I don't think anything would particularly change; however, I DO THINK that AARP, being an organization that protects the rights of human beings should voice their disdain of the treatment of those individuals interred in what is essentially conditions not "fit for a dog".
