I want to cancel my membership

Please cancel my membership account

Newbie

AARP membership was canceled today after getting slammed with junk mail. I contacted AARP to report that my membership was to NOT send me junk mailing and since the start of membership, I had to contact them TWICE to complain. After being lied to and promised no mailings, I had to cancel my membership. I had a very rude AARP employee named Stephanie that was very incompetent and failed to fix my issue. I had to chat with her supervisor and requested that she be written up. I do not recommend AARP.

Why do we join AARP and request NO MAILINGS and yet, you still flood us with same? After 2 complaints, I still receive the junk mail. When someone elects at sign up to receive no mail, AARP should abide by the request. Fix your system and have your IT people address the problem.
