AARP Eye Center
I do not see how this membership helps me. The web site seems to be about 90% ads that I have to wait and ignore before getting to anything I want to do. The app on the iPad is absolutely horrible. AARP seems to have grown into nothing but an advertising site. So far it has not saved me much of anything. The information I get on here is easier found with a simple google search and I don't have to watch ads to read an article. My opinion is that AARP is a paid membership to watch ads....
Now my question: Where can I find the balance left on my account so when I cancel I know what I can expect back.
AARP is not a purchasing club. It lobbies congress on issues that affect older people. I clipped this from a CBS News article (www.cbsnews.com/news/what-is-aarp/).
