Where do I start when playing Thanksgiving Mahjong?

If you’re new to tile-matching mahjong games, the full board at the beginning of the game can be daunting. Remember that your goal is to match two tiles, but tiles surrounded by other tiles are blocked. So start from the top layers: clearing exposed tiles first will open up more matching opportunities. From there, look around the side of the board for exposed tiles you can use for matches. And don’t forget to try out tiles partly hiding beneath others – they could be selectable!  Thanksgiving Mahjong gives you matching food also! Make sure the background colors match!
