In Snake, patience is a virtue. Try to keep your snake moving along walls and barriers and let it stretch out fully. The fewer quick turns you make, the less area your snake takes up—and the less chance you have of accidentally running into yourself. You often should avoid making quick turns if you miss a ball, as that increases the likelihood that you'll crash into your snake's trailing body. Instead, if you miss a ball, take the long way, letting the snake straighten out before going back in.
