I am a senior and live alone. I am wanting to explore the pen pal program. I think it would be a way to stay social. Because of hand contractures it's difficult for me to write cursive but I can use email, text, messenger no problem. Wondering if there are pen pals who use these systems.

Hey what's up? I was born on April 6, 1954, in Brooklyn, NY, and raised in Ridgewood, NY. I was married a long time ago to a Newfoundlander. We divorced in 1993. I then was with a wonderful woman for 21 years, until her death in 2025. I miss her dearly. I am 72 years old and live in Glovertown, Newfoundland, Canada, in a senior's home where I have my own room, but company isn't allowed. I use a cane to help me walk. Please tell me where you are from? Everything I've told you is the whole truth; I have no reason to lie. I hope we can correspond and maybe have a life together. I am a Christian man with Christian morals. I am honest, sincere, sensible, gentle, caring, kind, passionate, shy, trustworthy, truthful, and affectionate. I'm not a fighter; I'm a lover, and arguments are a thing of my past. I don't drink or smoke. I am a simple man but do have a few health issues: diabetes, depression, anxiety, an enlarged heart, memory loss, and hearing/vision problems. I had an online girlfriend who used my affection and love as a ploy. She even coached me to give her my bank account number, which I foolishly did, and she scammed me out of $8,000. My bank then advised me that $4,000 more was released from my account. I was horrified. She told me how much she loved me and also said she had a daughter named Laura, a lovely 15-year-old girl who called me "Daddy," and my ex-wife said I could adopt her daughter as my own. The daughter loved me as her daddy. I want to move from here because I have no privacy. I am a homebody/couch potato. I love classic movies and classic sitcoms on my Roku Smart TV with over 300 apps. I enjoy playing online solitaire and word games.

My name's Jody and I'm a 63 yr old disabled widower. I'm so glad to have happened upon your post! I have Peripheral neuropathy and diabetes with complications. My hands are in constant discomfort; they feel like chunks of ice. t

Thus my interest in your post.

I'm currently in a Skilled Nursing Facility undergoing rehab from a serious infection that almost cost me my leg!

Anyway, if you're still in the market for a pen pal, I'd like to give it try.

Margareta, how very nice to hear from you! I live alone now as my sister passed last year. Since this pandemic and winter here in Missouri has isolated me most days I thought a pen pal connection would be a nice way to connect socially. I have two little dogs that keep me company, a little rescue dachshund named Buster who is seven and a miniature Greyhound who is 14 Delilah. I have four children my oldest daughter passed away from cancer when she was 39 but the other three live pretty close to me and I have 8 grandchildren and 4 Great grandchildren.

I was a single mom raising four children so the busyness of that and working jobs constantly I find myself wondering how to fill the time with this empty nest LOL
