AARP Eye Center
Good morning to all-
I am an AARP member along with my wife. We are retired schoolteachers- I spent nearly forty years in front of various classes from kindergarten to college levels.
For the past twenty or so years I have been a writer for various outdoor and rural living magazines, and when I'm not sitting in front of this screen typing and scratching a cat's ears, I will be outside either working in the garden, fishing from my kayak or flying one of my little radio-controlled airplanes or drones.
I was on another senior-oriented forum for a while, but the politics and the heated and usually vitriolic nature of that place persuaded me to find another place to go and read about what's going on in the world. I hope this forum is more civilized.
I live on the Gulf Coast of Alabama, and I must say that we missed the effects of Hurricane Francine- and glad I am to say that.
I look forward to conversing with you all here.
you all be safe and keep well- Ed

Welcome Ed @EdM965653 and glad you and your wife are SAFE!!! 💃💃💃
Nope, NO politics here as AARP deleted that forum April 2021.
Lol, as far as those "personalties" that feel a need to "disrespect" - we have a few.
But that is life and as I AGE (66 this month), I am finally LISTENING to AARP's advice. Ignore and report. Spent way TOO MUCH time arguing with them. 👍👍👍
I have a cat by the name of Mr. 🐈, my spoilt boy.
Wishing you and your wife an AWESOME day.

@EstyC246923 and Ed @EdM965653 , what would you RECOMMEND in YOUR area to a tourist visiting them?
Thanks,
Nicole ✈
Good morning to all-
Nicole- Lots of nice beaches in this part of the world. In Alabama, I'd recommend Orange Beach- lots of condos and rental houses on the beach. For more "elegant" housing, try the Grand Hotel on Mobile Bay- very old, very well maintained- lots of golf and sunset watching.
In the Pensacola area- only about 30 miles east- Joe Patti seafood is a great place to get fresh seafood, and the Blue Angels fly over quite often. Navarre Beach, another 20 miles east is the prettiest beaches I've ever found- anywhere.
Lots of stuff to do here, there is.
You all be safe and keep well- Ed
