With national levels of respiratory illness declining and warmer weather on the horizon, COVID-19 may no longer be top of mind. But don’t let it slip too far, health experts warn.

“COVID is down, but it has not gone away. I would say it’s continuing to smolder out there,” says infectious disease expert William Schaffner, M.D., a professor of medicine at Vanderbilt University School of Medicine in Nashville, Tennessee.

Been procrastinating on that recommended Spring covid vaccine.  Guess it’s time.

(5/15/24) @Kerfey , I am SO GRATEFUL Medicare covers this.

I just got my Spring shot.

HATE NEEDLES and CVS knows this = babies me.

My old doctor back in 2020 [before Medicare doctor] had told me when I ASKED his "opinion" on COVID going away = NEVER WILL, will finally become like the FLU = requiring a YEARLY SHOT.

Guess we are NOT there as yet 4 years later in 2024.
