Fall is the recommended time to get your FLU and COVID vaccinations for the upcoming season. Previously, there was no issue with scheduling this at the local pharmacy. With current political environment and rumors of negative impacts of vaccinations in general, people are having a hard time locating available site to get a COVID vaccination this fall. I would like to get a sense of how wide spread this issue is and your concerns around this situation.
Just a quick note/update from Florida on COVID vaccinations. We are still waiting for 'CDC's recommendation' per the Walgreens health app. In other words, nothing is available to anybody regardless of health or age in Florida until they receive the go ahead is my understanding.
For flu as well? I know on Covid, yes that’s been happening, but shouldn’t be on flu as well! Shouldn’t be on any, but hadn’t heard or seen that for flu. Wow!
Pharmacist or docs going rogue and decides to use his political opinion on flu shot? Not right. Everyone should be able to get the flu shot, regardless of Age to be be available to them. Babies and toddlers get it already. I’d be all up in that persons face. Hope your son can get them
Hi, gg,
This might be something that has to addressed at the state level, per article from our local (Las Vegas, NV) station, News 3 LV dated 08-Sept-2025:
"State board clears path for updated COVID-19 vaccines in pharmacies" (opens in new window, page or tab).
