Wrapping up the Year

I wanted to share that today I decided to thank the people over the last several years who helped me with my caregiving and grievance experience.  I have already done so in some cases, but there were others who needed a Thank You, especially as we celebrate the holiday season and hopefully look forward to the New Year.  Just like everything else, I happened across notes with names by chance.  As I thought about it, these were the names of random people who were there for me at critical times.  The experience may have been situational or temporary, but that didn't matter.  In some cases, I did not fully recognize how much they did for me or even had to.  Today, I reached out to them and like everything else on this grievance trip, it was surprising how mutually rewarding it was.  It does not take long to call, text, email, etc. to say that I appreciated you helping me at vulnerable and difficult times.  In some cases, these individuals were surprised but in all cases were happy that they could make a difference.  That is what happens on this journey.  In some cases, strangers came into my life to help me.  I'd like to think of them as my Guardian Angels.  Hopefully, there are more to come and I in turn could also become one of the helpful ones for those in need.  Powerful experience for me.  Sue
