*** When you can, get a RIDE until things settle down for you.
(1) Reduced REACTION Time: Similar to driving intoxicated, grief impairs your ability to react to hazards, making "near misses" or accidents more likely.
(2) Distraction & Disassociation: You may "zone out," forget where you are, or become overwhelmed, leading to missed stop signs or lane drifting.
(3) Sudden EMOTIONAL Surges: Triggers, such as songs or reminders of the deceased, can cause sudden, intense crying that blurs vision and impairs focus.
(4) Physical FATIGUE: Intense loss can cause severe exhaustion, reducing alertness.

โโโโโโโโโโ๐โโโโโโโโโโ GOOD morning!!!
Another "day" for us to get out of bed, "believing" somehow WE WILL survive while grieving.
Stop by when you can to let us know how you are doing.
Remember to GET BACK UP everytime you fall (stay in bed, depressed, crying and so on).

โโโ๐โโโ Losing a CHILD is one of the most devastating and unnatural experiences a person can face.
โโโโก๏ธโโโ[*** We are "suppose" to die BEFORE them!!! โโโ๐คโโโ
(1) Find SPECIALIZED Support Groups: Connecting with other bereaved parents can provide profound validation and understanding.
(2) MEMORIALIZE Your Child: Finding ways to honor your child can be deeply comforting. Whether through a dedicated ritual, donating to a cause they cared about, or simply talking about them, actively remembering allows you to carry your child forward.

โโโ๐ดโโโโโโ๐ตโโโ Grieving in OLD AGE is uniquely challenging due to accumulated loss โ often called BEREAVEMENT OVERLOAD. ๐ชง Life after loss isn't about "moving on" or forgetting. It is a continuous process of rebuilding your identity, establishing new routines, and finding pockets of joy. Healing happens in small, steady steps, and it's completely normal to feel a shift in your priorities and perspectives.

๐ช You might NEED to do these!!!
(1) Write a NEW will and UPDATE your advance care planning.
(2) Look into a durable power of attorney for legal matters and health care in case you are unable to make your own medical decisions in the future.
(3) Put JOINT property (such as a house or car) in your name.
(4) Consider changes you may need to make to your health insurance as well as to your life, car, and homeownerโs insurance.
(5) Make a list of BILLS you will need to pay in the next few months, for example, your rent or mortgage; utilities such as electricity, water, and phone and internet services; insurance; and state and federal taxes.
*** Try NOT to "stress" and take 1 step at a time!
