 [Wednesday 5/6/26]

You are welcome dear Michelle @MichelleC103656 and thank you SO MUCH for being a "part" of OUR GROUP!!!

Between 2023 and 2024, I "hid" at home and finally "surfaced" in 2025 = started to WANT to see what was OUTSIDE my 4 walls. Then the Head Gasket drama & broken ankle "clipped" my old wings from October 2025 to now (May 2026). Part of me NEEDS to get back out there and still MISSING my "Old Lady" (2006 Hyundai Elantra 185,217 miles). It was like losing a family member. ๐Ÿ˜ญ

All WE CAN DO, is 1 step at a time.

And for the "youngsters" now in OUR lives, I guess WE NEED to continue on. I know this "mentally" in my head, but it is SO HARD to be willing to step out. See what EACH day has for us.

SO GLAD you have Jim by YOUR side & your fur baby crew. I am SO GRATEFUL for my daughter & Mister.

As you said, they KNOW just what WE NEED. Mister has returned & passed out beside me. My boy!

Luv,

Nicole ๐Ÿ’›๐Ÿค—

Thanks, Nicole. New York is terrible about getting people arrested and charged with so many crimes. Even when they do finally catch someone, they end up releasing them on appearance tickets. Too many of those people don't show up for future court dates and go on to commit more crimes. I don't know why I didn't think of it sooner. I guess because I had way too many other things on my mind. A lot of people are on the news for different reasons that they couldn't get help and asked the reporters to help them get some answers. I know what you mean about being nervous about driving. There are so many bad and dangerous people on the roads. We have came so close to being hit head on and in the sides way too many times. It is just as bad or worse being driven around, because you can't do anything to make the people drive better and smarter. You are at their mercy. Thank you, again, Nicole, for your support and kind words!  Hugs and Luv! ๐Ÿค—๐Ÿ™‚๐Ÿ˜ป๐Ÿˆ๐Ÿ˜ธ๐Ÿฑ๐Ÿ˜บ

I am so glad to have found you and the Group. Losing our loved ones has been the worst, but finding others who understand and can relate really helps so much. I know what you mean about hiding. I do it some days. I will just stay upstairs and sit in my chair. It was hard to get out of bed, and I don't want to go anywhere or see anyone. I just want to sit and not do anything. Jim,our families, and the furbabies help so much. I couldn't imagine going through everything all by myself. I am glad that you have your daughter and Mister. It has been so nice chatting with you, as always. We had dinner a little while ago, macaroni and tomatoes. It was so ironic. I had been thinking about it, and Jim suggested it. It used to be a favorite dish of my Mom's. Then, he said that his Mom used to make it. I think it was them sending us a message. I am always looking for messages and meaning in things. My sister, Debbie, and I always say that when Cardinals come around, it is because our parents knew that we were thinking about them. I have to close for now. We have dishes to finish. Thanks for being here, Nicole. I look forward to chatting again real soon. Hugs and Luv to you and Mister! ๐Ÿค—๐Ÿˆ Oh,you said Mister came in, and Stewie just asked to go out again. It has been in the 40s and raining. ๐ŸŒงWe are So Sick and Tired of the rain. ๐ŸŒ‚Okay,I must go. Bye for now!  ๐Ÿ‘‹๐Ÿ˜บ๐Ÿฑ๐Ÿ˜ธ

Hey,Nicole! It is always so nice to hear from you. I hope that you and Mister are feeling better and doing okay. It is very hot here in New York. Thank goodness for air conditioning. We are getting ready for Stewie's birthday. He will be 7 tomorrow. We usually have a little celebration for the cats as if they are children. We buy toys, treats, special food, decorations, signs, candles, and a little cake or cupcake. We are going to get the rest of the stuff tomorrow morning at Walmart. I saw your messages on Father's Day. I was feeling so sad and upset about my Dad. I still miss him and think about him every day. Sunday, the 5th of July, would have been my parents 74th anniversary. They made it to 63 years. I have been feeling sad and missing them. They loved holidays, birthdays, and anniversaries. We always combined our 4th of July celebrations and their anniversary. I will wish you and everyone a very Happy 4th of July!  Stay safe and take care!  Luv and Hugs to you and Mister from me and my crew!  ๐Ÿค—๐Ÿˆ๐Ÿ˜ธ๐Ÿ˜ป๐Ÿ˜บ๐Ÿฑ๐Ÿ™‚

[6/30/26] Hi Michelle @MichelleC103656 , SO GOOD to hear from you my friend!!!

So our boy Stewie has a birthday. ๐ŸŽ‰

Yes, I still "struggle" with the holidays, birthdays but hope one day to be able to "honor" them with something SPECIAL. Maybe do something that they would have liked to do.

Yes, summer is here in Virginia & like you said, grateful to be INSIDE. Lol, ALL the "youngsters" here LUV summer. I use to, but at age 68, it drains me.

Struggling with "missing" my "only" child in Florida but NOT ready to move BACK to deal with the 24/7 heat. ๐Ÿ˜ฑ

She luvs it, in her 30's & hated Virginia. Lol, left Florida ONE time since being "born" there & swears to NEVER leave again. Me, I stayed when she went back.

You & Jim stay in my thoughts.

Mister ๐Ÿˆ sends his luv for Stewie, Bristol & Nova. ๐Ÿˆ๐Ÿˆ๐Ÿˆ  He is SO GLAD to have a "vehicle" back out front to "chill" under. Yes, those 7 months of NOT having one was awful. EVERY DAY I thank the "universe" for bringing the folks who "helped" me to find one.

Luv,

Nicole ๐Ÿ’›๐Ÿค—

This is so ironic l was just reading your message, and Stewie came in the kitchen. I am glad that you and Mister are doing well. Stewie has been laying out on the back patio all day. The girl cats don't like the heat and stay in or in the shade when it is sunny and hot. I usually get a notification when you send me messages. I didn't this time for some reason. I just happened to check on here again and saw your message. I will tell Stewie that you wish him a happy birthday. ๐ŸŽ‚He is a very good boy. He acts like a little dog most of the time. It is always good talking to you, Nicole. Hugs and Luv to you and your Mister!  ๐Ÿค—๐Ÿˆ๐Ÿ˜ป๐Ÿ˜ธ๐Ÿฑ๐Ÿ™‚๐Ÿ˜บ

Dear Michelle @MichelleC103656 , I am a little "earlier" than August 1st. But wondering how you, Jim, Bristol ๐Ÿฑ, Stewie ๐Ÿฑ and Nova ๐Ÿฑ are doing?

Hey Nicole!  It is so wonderful to hear from you. We are all doing good.  We are avoiding lettuce and other bad things. I hope that you and Mister are doing well. It is always so ironic. I was thinking about you and sending you a message the other day. And then, I receive a message from you. It was in regards to the accident that killed our granddaughter, Brea. Last Thursday, we finally received an update from the DA's office and the police. They all finally finished their investigation. No charges will be filed. They said that the accident was the result of the man,who was 70 years old, having a medical emergency. That makes some sense, but why was he going 70 miles per hour when he ran into the back of the SUV? They didn't give us a lot of details. Did his foot push the gas pedal all the way to the floor, was he supposed be driving, and why did it take so long to figure everything out?  We have some answers but still so many questions. They had the nerve tell my daughter and son-in-law to just let it go. They sure wouldn't have that attitude if it was their little girl. We still believe that they are covering something up. But then, maybe not. We all went to the cemetery to take flowers and "talk" to Brea. We are all still so sad and lost without her. She was a shining star in our family. Thanks for reaching out!  We greatly appreciate your care and support!  Luv and Hugs to you and Mister! ๐Ÿค—๐Ÿˆ๐Ÿˆโ€โฌ›๐Ÿฑ๐Ÿฏ๐ŸฆP.S. ,I am using a new tablet.  I haven't figured it all out yet. I haven't found the cat pictures that I used to use. I hope that I find some like them. Take care. Talk to you soon.

[7/26/26] Michelle @MichelleC103656 ALWAYS so good getting "updates" from you dear friend.

Excuse me - they said to "let it go". ๐Ÿ˜ค๐Ÿ˜ค๐Ÿ˜ค

Oh my goodness!!!

How COLD & UNFEELING.

And did this 70 year old APOLOGIZE. Show some "remorse".

A YOUNG LIFE was lost. Someone's PRECIOUS child & grandchild. How dare they treat her death with so much DISRESPECT.

I am so sorry you guys are dealing with this on top of GRIEVING. ๐Ÿ˜ž

Mister is getting more NEEDY for luv, so I am HOPING he will go with me whenever I move. ๐Ÿคž Still the rebel = has NOT used his litter box. Lol, guess I should be grateful = 1 less thing to "clean". ๐Ÿ˜‚

Thank you SO MUCH for your "kudos" & "support" of OTHER grievers with your comments.

It really means ALOT to us here in the AARP Grief & Loss Forum.

Well, the 5 caladium bulbs made it. Still waiting on the Morning Glory to bloom. Going to "try" to harvest the seeds to use NEXT Spring. ๐Ÿคž

Waiting on my gyn to get back to me with dates & times for my Hospital Biopsy. Finally MENTALLY "ready" to do it & a very "kind" neighbor will be there with me. They will NOT let me Uber home after by myself. Hoping for good news. Was "suppose" to do all this LAST YEAR, but just could NOT deal with the "possibility" of cancer. Lol, still have NOT done my "Medicare" says I WAS due a Mammogram back in March. The same with the Stool Sample. But getting there 1 step at a time. ๐Ÿ‘

Luv,

Nicole ๐Ÿค—๐Ÿ’›

Thanks so much Nicole. Yes, that also made us angry. That driver has not shown any remorse. I was thinking the other day that if he says that he is sorry, he is admitting wrongdoing and opening himself up to being sued. His lawyer has most probably advised him to say and do as little as possible. I am glad that you and Mister are doing good. I will hope and pray that your tests go well. I know what you mean. I am also guilty of putting things off for too long. Thank you for your kind words.  We really appreciate you and your support. Take care!  Hugs and Luv! Talk to you and everyone again real soon! ๐Ÿค—๐Ÿฑ๐Ÿˆ๐Ÿ˜บ๐Ÿ˜ธ๐Ÿ˜ป

[7/26/26] Thank you SO MUCH for your "kind" words of support Michelle @MichelleC103656 !!!

I owe my "only" child making an "effort" at keeping well. I "promised" her dad I would before he passed.

Lol, you know the drill dear friend = will check on you again September 1st.

Mister ๐Ÿฑ sends his luv to your "super cuties" ๐Ÿฑ๐Ÿฑ๐Ÿฑ
