Good Morning, Nicole!  I have been thinking about you ,too. I hope that you are doing better. It was good news that you will soon not be needing your walking boot and be getting another car.

I was so happy that it was the first day of Spring. Then, I  received a message that Chuck Norris had died. My Mom and I used to watch his show "Walker, Texas Ranger". I still watch an episode or two every so often. My Mom used to call him "The Kicker ". I was thinking how sad she would have been to learn of his passing. I am going to have to end this message. I am starting to cry,and I am having trouble seeing and typing. It is always wonderful to hear from you, Nicole!  Hugs and Luv to you and Mister!  🐈🤗😸😻😺🐱

📎   [Saturday 3/7/26] Hi Michelle @MichelleC103656 , lol - Spring is here in Virginia and this old lady has been "kicked to the curb" = Mister is back OUTSIDE hiding in the bushes between me and my neighbor. Yesterday was his LAST day of hanging out with me. 😪

Comes in to EAT, then leaves. 😅

Guess I will have to WAIT for a "rainy" day to have the honor of his company ALL DAY. 😉

GOOD NEWS!!! A guy from our local Automotive School is going to find a vehicle for me. Said Hyundais get MAJOR issues after 100,000 miles. My 2006 Hyundai Elantra is up to 185,100 miles. It will be very HARD saying goodbye to my girl, but replacing a Head Gasket is about $3,000.00. 😱

I go for xrays on the 31st. Hoping to get rid of my Walking Boot then. 🤞

I am so glad that things are getting better. It must be so difficult walking and getting around to do anything. I need to have my hip done sometime. I am not looking forward to that. I keep putting it off until a better time, but does that actually exist?  It is sometimes sad to let our vehicles go when we have had them for so long. They become like a member of the family. Stew and Nova spend most of the day outdoors when the weather is nice. They only come in to go to the bathroom, eat,and finally to sleep at night. The crock pot is bubbling over on the counter, I had better go check it out. You and Mister take care!  Hugs and Luv to you both! 🤗🐈😻😸🙂🐱😺

As far as sleeping inside at night, depends on the weather of course.

Oh NO!!! Have never had hip replaced but I have heard from folks who have. NOT fun at all. So sorry about this. 😪

*** Please keep me posted. Fingers crossed when you do "decide" to have it done - the process goes smoothly.

I am hoping to be able to drive in time to go to Dollar Tree after Easter to get my seeds. Can't beat 4 packs for a $1. 💃

My Mom had both of her hips done years ago. The right one was nice and easy. It healed fast and good. We think that she waited too long to have the left one done. It never healed correctly. She had to use a cane or walker until the end. I will keep you updated. Thank you for the kind words. Oh, the litter box, we bought Bristol a couple new ones. She takes turns deciding to use one ,the other, or both. Okay, Jim just called from the grocery store. He was wondering what kind of ice cream to get for dessert. The weather in North Carolina is just excellent!  It's around 4:30 in the afternoon and I was just thinking that today was a happy one.  I had both busy and lazy moments. 

The past week marked the two-year anniversary of my wife's passing.  I visited the grave site and placed springtime flowers.  I spoke with some of my friends and her friends. I miss my sweet lady, but I am working to rebuild my life. One that is different but yet familiar.  Does that make any sense?

Nicole, I agree. It's definitely a challenge to keep up with a healthy diet. A frozen

meal, though processed, is better than chips or a candy bar. Add a salad, ready made. A few days of eating poorly takes the body  a while to catch up. There are also outreach programs like Meals on Wheels and Senior food resources to look into. Anyway, good luck to everyone on this topic! Taking care of ourselves is a weight lifted from the shoulders of those who love and care about us.

Hello, Nicole!  I have been thinking about you, too. We have had a crazy busy week. The grandkiddos had the week off, Presidents Day and Midwinter vacation. We have been taking care of our youngest daughter Korie's 2. Our 9 year old granddaughter, Scarlett, was sick with the flu. Her parents couldn't take any more time off from work. We were trying and hoping not to let her brother,Aiden, and ourselves get sick. It has been a long and tiring week. Thankfully, Scarlett felt so much better today. She is happy to at least have the weekend to enjoy before returning to school on Monday. I hope that you and Mister and everyone are doing well. I don't know IF you read the old posts about me falling on Black Ice on 12/6/25 fracturing my ankle in 2 places & the other old lady (2006 Hyundai Elantra) needing a Head Gasket as of 10/27/25.

Lol, so from October to NOW, it has been a DAILY "talk to myself" routine. 😅

Listening to motivational videos on free YouTube has helped & of course my boy Mister 🐈.

Anyway, hope to be back on the road in time to sow my Dollar Tree seeds after Easter.

In a Walking Boot finally after being in a cast for 6 weeks with sponge baths & physical therapy. GRATEFUL Medicare paid 100% for my Homecare.

Waiting on my mechanic to find a LOW MILEAGE engine and saving in the hopes of having enough when he does.

Oh,no, Nicole. I hadn't really been on here so much the last few months. I didn't know about any of that. I am so sorry. I am glad that you are doing better. Yes, my parents were always lucky that everything was paid 100% when they were in the hospital and after at home. That is such a blessing, especially with the way that things are going. Yes,we are doing somewhat better. We had some nice holidays and are looking forward to more, and also several birthdays🎂. Jim's birthday is on March 1st. He will be 65. Our son-in -law ,Bryce, has his birthday on March 6. He will be 30. Our oldest girl cat, Bristol, will be 16 on April 4th. She has had some stomach problems over the last few months and has been taking a couple medications. She is doing a lot better. I hope that you and Mister had some nice holidays.
