Loss of a dear friend

The first of Oct. this year, I lost one of my dearest and closest friends. I just would like to know if there are any of you out there who feel like the Holidays this year are a little hard to get excited about. Sincerely, Jill

Hi Jill,  I'm sorry for your loss.  Our close friends are our confidants, and losing them is like having a piece of ourself taken away.

Yes, holidays are hard, very much so for myself.  I also have friends that are having a  tough time with this as well.  I find the emotions are like a wave. Sometimes a big one knocks you flat, and then sometimes a little ripple comes through and it's ok for a bit.

Hope you take care of yourself through the  waves.

Dear Jill @JillA639022 , I am so sorry for your loss!!!

Yes, I "skipped" Thanksgiving this year = was NOT "feeling" thankful.

I will see how I "feel" for Christmas.

Luv,

Nicole  🤗🤗🤗  (Grief Forum)
