โ–ถ๏ธ*** [1] Friday - May 17, 2024.

About the Event.

When youโ€™re grieving, itโ€™s easy to get stuck in your pain and remain bitter, angry or depressed. But if you can find meaning in even the most senseless loss, you can find ways to live a good and someday even joyful life, enriched by the lessons and love of the person who died.

This webinar on finding meaning after loss will share insights on how to go about it:

Why the six stages of grief were never meant to be linear.
What โ€œmeaning makingโ€ is, and why itโ€™s key to recovery from grief.
How meaning making can help you remember the person who died with more love than pain.
The keys to finding acceptance and moving into meaning making.โ€ฏ
Why post-traumatic growth is an important part of meaning making.
The presentation is based on โ€œFinding Meaning: The Sixth Stage of Grief,โ€ by David Kessler, whose youngest son died suddenly at age 21. He co-authored โ€œOn Grief and Grievingโ€โ€ฏand โ€œLife Lessonsโ€โ€ฏwith Elisabeth Kรผbler-Ross. Visit his website for more information on grief.

โ–ถ๏ธ*** [2] Thursday - May 23, 2024.

About the Event.

After a significant loss, itโ€™s common to feel like weโ€™re going crazy. Weโ€™re in shock and disoriented, and time seems out of whack. Our moods swing wildly.

But youโ€™re not going crazy - youโ€™re grieving. During this webinar, weโ€™ll examine six steps for surviving loss:

Know that your intense grief is normal and necessary.
Do whatever you need to do to feel safe and comfortable.
Acknowledge the illusion of having control
Tell your story.
Embrace your spirituality.
Step toward truly living even as you grieve
The discussion is based on โ€œYouโ€™re Not Crazy โ€“ You Are Grieving: The Six Steps for Surviving Lossโ€ by Alan D. Wolfelt, Ph.D., director of the Center for Loss and Life Transition and a member of the faculty at the University of Colorado School of Medicine.

โ–ถ๏ธ*** [3] Thursday - May 30, 2024.

About the Event.

Itโ€™s normal to experience anxiety when grieving because loss shakes our sense of security in the present and often raises worries about the future.โ€ฏWhatโ€™s more, the pain weโ€™re feeling compounds our anxiety.

During this webinar youโ€™ll learn:

How to understand your anxiety and fears after loss โ€“ and their purpose.
Why soothing your fears is essential.
How continuous anxiety is bad for your health.โ€ฏ
Ways to comfort and distract yourself.
How expressing your fears is the key to taming them.
This webinar is based on โ€œThe Anxiety of Grief โ€“ How to Understand, Soothe, and Express Your Fears After Lossโ€ by Alan D. Wolfelt, Ph.D. He is the director of the Center for Loss and Life Transition and is on the faculty at the University of Colorado School of Medicine.

Thank You Nicole.  I registered for the session.  YOU, my dear, are on top of everything for us.  Luv ya!   I don't know what you did for a living, BUT you should have run a company with the way you co-ordinate and run this site.   You provide a wealth of information and resources to help us.  โค๏ธ
