@21larbord I appreciate you taking the time to share this with us! You may want to send your feedback to Lyft for consideration. I located this link for their website help page: https://help.lyft.com/hc/uk/all/requests/new Eldercare Locator is a service provided by the U.S. Administration on Aging that connects you to services for older adults and their families. Eldercare Locator may be able to assist with transportation assistance. If you'd like to explore the options that may be available locally, I invite you to contact Eldercare Locator at eldercare.acl.gov or 1-800-677-1116, Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. - 8:00 p.m. ET

That Lyft link leads frequent riders like me on a wild goose chase with it's useless, limited options that do not allow any choosing or writing in any other problems except their chosen issues.  If you finally get to the option to email Lyft for help, it goes to an email no longer in use. The only responses I got trying that were to go back to the useless link above.  Last night I was left stranded after 11 pm in Houston because something in their app sent me 4 different drivers who cancelled, then finally one who "arrived" at my location.  But he didn't.  He finally answered my text after he told me he was here to pick me up.  We realized that he was in Dallas at a Bingo Hall -NOT NAMED TEXAS STAR BINGO, not in Houston AND NOT WHERE I WAS.  I was alone in a huge, dark parking lot after almost everyone, including the employees had left during the hour I had waited for drivers to accept then cancel over and over.  How the heck did that happen?  Then I got my notice pop up of Lyft's charge for almost $300 for the Lyft ride that never happened.  There was no option for me to report the weird error in the Lyft App or ridiculus charge or get help from Lyft to get a ride home 18 miles away.  I am 69, disabled and very alone.  It was the first time I had dared go out in months. Now I am really afraid to trust Lyft for any personal rides.  I can't drive anymore.  This is a real problem.  My Mdcr Advantage plan uses Lyft for our Safe Rides to medical appointments.  These are a life-saver for Seniors like me with lots of specialist visits.  When there are problems, my insurer takes care of if fast with Lyft.  But Lyft outside of these rides leaves a lot to be safe or reliable or worthwhile.  I wonder how many seniors are having similar problems with Lyft and Uber leaving them stranded by drivers that don't show, apps that malfunction, or other serious issues.  Living in the suburbs of a big city leaves people like me with very few reliable ride options for shopping, dental visits or personal rides of any kind.  AARP, you do so much to address our concerns and advocate for us.  Please look into this and offer us some real life tips.  Quality or responsible customer service after Lyft (or Uber or taxi services - I've tried them all in my area) has already charged us for the ride that may never come.
